Simply put, Oinkers is great southern-style BBQ. Family-owned and family-style, there’s nothing pretentious about Oinkers. Just fantastic barbeque, wonderful sides and terrific service.
Since 1996, Oinker’s has been the go-to place for great barbeque in Rabun County. Located on Highway 441 between Tiger and Clayton, Oinker’s is a community staple, whether it’s work-day lunches, the pre-football game meal on Friday nights or take-out on the way to the lake.
Oinker’s BBQ is all pork, hickory smoked for 24 hours to make it juicy, fall-off-the-bone tender! They chop it up fresh, serve it hot and ready for you to add your favorite sauce. There are plate and sandwich combinations. And, of course, the classic sides including baked beans, Brunswick Stew, coleslaw, fries, green beans, mac-n-cheese, onion rings and potato salad.
Don’t feel like barbeque? Hard to believe, but if that’s the case, Oinker’s offers hamburgers, steaks, chicken, seafood… even salads for those seeking variety.
But be forewarned: In an effort to serve you the best BBQ possible, Oinker’s cooks fresh every day! That means they have to guess how much they will need. Some days they under-guess and some days they over-guess. Some days are just right. In the case that they occasionally under-guess, Oinker’s may run out of meat and close early. If that’s the case, please accept their sincere apology and visit them again soon.
