NE Georgia Arts Tour Set for November 8, 9, and 10th

In the mountains of Georgia, and neighboring North Carolina, you will find the creative spirit at work in a host of studios and shops. The Northeast Georgia Arts Tour offers you the experience of seeing pottery made from our red Georgia clay, watch musical instruments being made or seeing paintings of the countryside made on wood and canvas.

You may also wish to plan a visit to a lodge, enjoy comfort food at a restaurant decorated with an artistic touch, or sip wine at a vineyard. Whatever your fancy, the NE Georgia Arts Tour has it all!

Rabun County is rich with fine artists. Participating local artists, shops and lodging include:

    Archaic Roots
    Beechwood Inn
    Foxfire Museum and Heritage Center
    Gather
    Lulu and Tully’s/Rabun Martin Art
    North Georgia Arts Guild
    Stonewall Creek Vineyards
    Timpson Creek Gallery
    Transformation Glass

Libby Mathews, whose studio is housed at Timpson Creek Gallery, and who recently had a painting selected to hang in the Governor’s mansion, will demonstrate her painting techniques on Friday and Saturday (closed Sunday).

Kimberly Adams, who works in another medium, glass, will offer demonstrations of fused glass and bead making in her studio, Transformation Glass.
