Environmental Law Enforcement, Tactics and Solutions
Forward Rabun/Keep Rabun Beautiful is hosting a training workshop for Environmental Law Enforcement, Tactics and Solutions to help Law Enforcement Combat Littering.
Certified Trainer: Cpl. Scott Carroll travels the state lecturing on litter laws and other state laws through the company 423 Law Enforcement, which he formed when the DNR stopped hosting the workshops in 2010 due to budget cuts.
Officers enforcing litter laws need support from the top administration, including police chiefs, sheriffs and prosecutors, otherwise these laws won’t be prosecuted, Carroll said.
The workshop is funded in part by a grant from Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation.
