Crawford Art Gallery

Since 1995, the Crawford Art Gallery on Main Street in Clayton has featured the works of award-winning wildlife artist Broderick Crawford and other great artisans including wood turners, carvers, sculptures, photography, pottery & more!

Broderick, a Rabun County native, often paints from life in many American locations. But his renderings of Rabun County reflect the history, tradition and culture of our mountains. Along with painting, he is also an avid and award-winning carver.  He enjoys carving all species of waterfowl, shore birds and song birds. Broderick is also a skilled collector of decoys.

His most cherished accomplishment was winning the Trout Unlimited design for the Georgia license plate. Monies raised from its sale have helped fund the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in its efforts for conservation and trout stocking.

Most days Broderick paints in his studio at home. However, on Saturday’s he usually works alongside his wife Michele in their Gallery. Sometimes he even paints in the gallery’s front window. So next time you’re in the area stop by Crawford Art Gallery and see what all is new, visit with the Crawford’s or just hangout and watch Broderick at work.
