The Chattooga is where it all began for Wildwater. We pioneered outfitting here in 1971. Running the Chattooga is considered “the Number One Thing Every Southerner Ought To Do” according to Southern Living Magazine, but there’s so much more. Our Canopy Tour is a thrilling series of zip lines, canopy bridges and tree platforms. Enjoy the afternoon standup paddle boarding or kayaking on Lake Tugaloo. Make a vacation of it and stay in our cabins or group yurts. We even have an overnight camping option on the river!

Wildwater Chattooga is located on the grounds of the Historic Long Creek Academy, two miles north of US 76 on Academy Rd. between Westminster, SC and Clayton, GA in the community of Long Creek, South Carolina.
