  • Who We Are

Ira and Deborah Racadag have been Rabun County residents since 2017. They decided to open Abundant Life Psychiatric Services in 2023 due to the lack of resources withing in the county.

Ira is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Addictions Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience working in the mental health field. His background includes psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, crisis intervention, and correctional facilities. Deborah is a Certified Correctional Health Registered Nurse with over a decade of mental health and administrative experience. Her background includes psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, crisis intervention, dialysis, and correctional facilities. She is the correctional medicine liaison and a lead auditor for the Medical Association of Georgia.

    Whole Person Care

Patient centered care is essential to successful treatment. This means respecting the patient as an equal member of the healthcare team and tailoring treatment to their individual needs, daily lives, and goals. Whole person care involves physical, mental, and spiritual health. In addition to longer-than-average appointments, we offer supportive therapy, and electromagnetic frequency treatment.

    Provider Access

We want our clients to be able to see us as much as they feel is needed. While medications are being adjusted, the client should be seen by the psychiatric provider every 2-4 weeks. Once a client no longer requires medication adjustments, they only need medication management appointments with their psychiatric provider every 3 months.

    Transparency

Building a relationship of trust requires transparency. Transparency means being straight forward with costs, diagnoses, and treatment options. Building this relationship is the responsibility of both the provider and patient and is crucial to positive patient outcomes.

    What About Insurance?

We are a direct pay private practice. Studies conducted have shown that direct pay clinics have lower out-of-pocket cost, increased provider access, improved patient outcomes, and decreased provider burnout. Many insurance companies have a co-pay of $100.00 for specialists, which is the same price we charge for medication management follow-ups. We decided to remove the factors of medical billing and insurance credentialing to keep our out-of-pocket prices affordable. Clients may contact their insurance company and file for out-of-network reimbursement if eligible.
