Friends of Tallulah Gorge State Park
The Friends of Tallulah Gorge State Park is an organization of volunteers dedicated to the preservation of this majestic resource. We need more volunteers. Want to help?
Friends of Tallulah Gorge State Park Celebrate Your State Parks Day Saturday, September 24th, 9am -12 Noon.
Give just 3 hours of your time to help at the best darn park in our area, Tallulah Gorge State Park. Volunteers from GA Power, Tallulah Adventures/Wander North GA, the Friends of Tallulah Gorge State Park volunteer group, and community members like you will join forces to help out at this popular state park.
Meet at the Beach Parking Lot on the west side of the park to register and get started. There will be trail trash to pick up (more than you would believe), trails to map and re-blaze (easy to use software Easy Trail GPS app) and clearing of shrubs and bushes. Bring work gloves, water, sunscreen and hat.
Just call-in advance to pre-register at 706/754-7981 or arrive before 9 am to get organized and join a team. $5 parking fee or annual pass requested.
This designated day takes place in nearly all of GA’s state parks…a day to recognize all that our state parks give us and a chance to give back and say thanks. Tallulah Gorge State Park and its many visitors and friends are already thanking you for your efforts!See less -
