  • A down-home resort on the south end of Lake Burton, Bleu Canoe features a full-service Cajun American restaurant, rental cabins and a tiny home campground. The 23-acre property boasts communal fire pits, trails and yard games such as bocce, corn hole and badminton, open to restaurant and campground guests alike. The property is convenient to activities such as hiking, fishing, biking, boating, wineries and more.

The restaurant has a laid back vibe with items such as blackened fish, étouffée, oysters, burgers and po-boys along with salads, sandwiches and desserts. Run by the former owners of Harry Bissett’s in Athens, the husband and wife team of Jim and Lee White aim to make each guest feel like family.

Bleu Canoe has an extensive selection of beers, wines and liquors. Dine inside by the fire in winter or enjoy the large open deck in summer. It’s become a favorite neighborhood gathering spot.

The campground has three historic fish camp cabins and eight tiny home RVs for rent on spaced out wooded lots. Campsites include picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit. All units offer toiletries and linens, coffee maker and coffee/tea, mini fridge and microwave, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary light continental breakfast (breakfast bars, cereal, oatmeal, oranges, orange juice, milk and coffee stocked in suite).

So whether it’s a scrumptious dinner or a relaxing week in nature, Bleu Canoe has you covered. Make plans for your next visit.
